VISIT TO CRAON

Saturday 13 April 2019

Reservations before Friday 5 April 2019

Nicknamed "the little Versailles of Mayenne", the castle of Craon stands on the hill of Guinefol overlooking the town of Craon. A jewel of the XVIII century set in a magnificent 47 hectares park – this is one of the most beautiful castles in the area.

Meet at the Château at 11.45am and we will walk down to the gates and across the road to the Restaurant La Crêperie du Château recommended by the Count and Countess for Lunch.

We will then stroll back to the Château to be met at 2.30pm by the owner Bertrand de Guébriant who will take us on a private bi-lingual tour of the château explaining its long and fascinating history.

When the tour is completed we are invited to spend time in the grounds with 42 hectares of English park, 3 hectares of French gardens and I hectare of vegetable garden. We can walk on the 4km of paths lined with hundred year old trees and more than 150 species.

Join us for a private tour of the Château de Craon
