A Visit to the Dam on the River Rance,

a picnic and a walk

on Friday 24 April

 

Timetable

10:45 – visit the dam

Meet at  the office at the Barrage de la Rance. Click here for a picture of it.

It is on the Dinard side of the bridge(D168), and there is a car park. Click here for a map.

It is not a guided tour. The reservation has been made for the group at 11 am (it lasts 45 minutes, all the panels are in French and English)

approx. 12:30 – picnic lunch

We are going to Le Minihic sur Rance, a 15 minute drive from the dam for a picnic in the bar “Les Tilleuls” . Everyone bring their picnic and we can just order a drink.

The bar is after the church, on the left, with a car park opposite.

 

approx.1:30 – walk

There is a 2-hour walk around the village and along the Rance, it is not difficult.

Meet at the car park by “Les Tilleuls”.

 

Cost

The visit to the dam is free.

The walk is free of course !

……so there is just the drink at the bar. 

 

Booking

Numbers are limited to the first 25 people who book, so members who are interested are advised to contact Christine Betton well in advance and certainly by Friday 17 April.
