English linguistic support

Français

This activity aims to help our French friends achieve a greater level of fluency and understanding when using the language of Shakespeare.

In each workshop, a group of six or seven French-speaking participants discuss a theme chosen by one of the English-speaking workshop leaders.

The sessions take place approximately once a month (following the French academic calendar) from September to June on a Friday afternoon.

Each session, which lasts for around two-and-a-half hours, is divided into two one-hour workshops, each with its own theme and workshop leader. A 30-minute break between the workshops allows time for a tea or coffee and a chat with the other participants.

The themes are very varied: history, literature, geography, lifestyles, entertainment, daily life, etc. and provide enrichment in pronunciation and vocabulary.

The workshop leaders are from various parts of the English-speaking world, which allows our participants to become more familiar with different English accents and different English-speaking cultures.

If you would like to help by being a workshop leader occasionally, please contact Georges Plessis using the contact details below.
