Our EuroMayenne Fair 2011

Notre Salon EuroMayenne 2011 

Our 17th EuroMayenne Fair took place on Sunday, November 6th, from 10.00am to 6.00pm (free entry), at the Exhibition Hall, rue Volney, in MAYENNE.

This annual event welcomes amateur & professional artists and craftspeople (85 stalls this year) and gives them an opportunity for selling their creative leisure works to the visitors.

Our theme this year was «Arabian Nights» and dancers from the «Mirâ-Baï» Dancing Company in Rennes kept the crowds amused and involved with their performances of Indian dances during the day (at 11h30, 14h, 15h, 16h, 17h). The decoration of the room and the costumes of volunteers and exhibitors plunged visitors into a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere.

This year, nearly 2700 visitors enjoyed a wide range of goods from the stands and could enjoy a welcome break at our Tea Room for a tea or coffee and slice of homemade British cake!

The festive atmosphere of this event , year after year, has become a "must" among the events in the town of Mayenne.

As usual, a tearoom and a "fish 'n' chips" shop gave the Salon its ever popular British Touch.

New in 2011: Hungarian pastries sold.

This highly enjoyable day would not be possible without the invaluable help of our volunteers and we thank them warmly for their hard work in organizing the Fair.

17th SALON SLIDESHOW

Notre 17ème Salon  EuroMayenne a eu lieu le dimanche 6 novembre, de 10h à 18h, au Hall des Expositions, rue Volney, à MAYENNE.

Cette manifestation annuelle accueille des artistes et artisans amateurs et professionnels (85 stands cette année) et leur donne l'occasion de vendre leurs travaux de loisirs créatifs aux visiteurs.

Cette année, notre thème était «Mille et une nuits» et des danseurs de la  Compagnie de danse «Mirâ-Baï» de Rennes sesont produits avec des danses indiennes pendant la journée (à 11h30, 14h, 15h, 16h, 17h). La décoration de la salle et les costumes des bénévoles et des exposants ont plongé les visiteurs dans une atmosphère mystérieuse et envoûtante.

Cette année, près de 2 700 visiteurs ont arpenté les stands et ont pu s’arrêter à notre Tea-Room pour boire un thé ou un café et déguster des gâteaux anglais faits maison.

L’ambiance festive qui régnera sur cette manifestation s’est imposée comme «incontournable» parmi les événements de la ville de Mayenne.

Dans la tradition de ce Salon, un tea-room et un marchand de "fish 'n' chips" lui ont apporté cette "British Touch" très appréciée du public.

Nouveauté 2011 : vente de pâtisseries hongroises.

Cette journée de fête ne pourrait pas avoir lieu sans l’aide précieuse de nos bénévoles et nous les remercions chaleureusement pour leur travail important dans l'organisation de ce Salon.
